This standard applies to cylindrical and conical shaft ends of gearboxes and geared motors for general engineering use with a taper of 1:10, made in the form of independent general-purpose units that transmit torque using feather keys, and establishes the main dimensions of the shaft ends and permissible torques. The standard establishes mandatory requirements.
