- This document stipulates the basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments for coated enteric gelatin hollow capsules (hereinafter referred to as "capsules"). This document applies to coated enteric gelatin hollow capsules made by a three-layer coating process using gelatin for capsules plus excipients. This document does not apply to colonic enteric-coated capsules.
