This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, testing technology, testing methods, testing procedures, analysis of testing data and defect assessment for phased array ultrasonic testing of electrofusion welded joints of polyethylene gas pipelines. This standard is applicable to the phased array ultrasonic testing of electrofusion welded joints of polyethylene gas pipelines with a nominal diameter of 40mm ~ 400mm and a nominal wall thickness of 3.7mm ~ 36.4mm. Other sizes can be implemented as a reference.
