Scope: This document describes methods for sample collection techniques such as collection, storage, and transportation of respiratory samples for acute viral infections. This document is applicable to the disease control system, customs and biological sample banks, etc., and is used to guide relevant staff to carry out sample inclusion, information collection, sample collection, storage and transportation, and standardize sample collection quality and safety management. Note: This document is only applicable to the situation where it has been preliminarily determined that the sampling object may be acute viral respiratory tract infection, and does not apply to the collection of respiratory tract samples from non-acute viral infection.
