This standard specifies the evaluation principles and methods for green design products of power tools, requirements for product manufacturers, evaluation index requirements, and product life cycle evaluation methods and reporting formats. This standard applies to the green design evaluation of various types of power tools. This standard does not apply to:
——Tools used in explosive atmospheres (dust, vapor or gas);
——Tools for preparing and processing food;
——Tools for medical use;
——Tools used with cosmetics and pharmaceuticals;
———Heating tools;
——Household or similar electrical appliances driven by electric motors;
——Electrical equipment for industrial machine tools;
——Small desktop tools driven by low-voltage transformers for making models, such as making remote-controlled aircraft models or car models, etc.
