Scope

This document presents a measurement method for evaluating the midtones of spot color inks. This method for calculating Spot Color Scale Tone Values (SCTV) results in approximately even visually spaced Scale Values between the substrate and the solid. It can be calculated from measurements of spectral reflectance or chromaticity of solid inks, substrates, and one or more mid-range color patches.
