Scope: This standard specifies the safety requirements and test verification for the design and manufacture of portable, hand-held, internal combustion engine-type cutting machines (hereinafter referred to as cutting machines), which are intended to be used by a single person to cut construction materials (such as asphalt, concrete, stone and metal). ) is used. This standard only applies to cutting machines that use fixed abrasives and/or superabrasive (diamond) rotating cutting wheels, and the maximum outer diameter of the cutting wheel is 430mm. The support of the cutting wheel is installed in its center and driven by the spindle. The top rotates away from the operator (see Figure 1). This standard covers all significant hazards, hazardous situations or hazardous events that are significant to these machines under conditions of intended use or misuse that are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Table A.1 of Appendix A). This standard specifies methods to eliminate or reduce hazards that occur during the use of cutting machines, as well as the type of information on safe work practices that is provided with the cutting machine. This standard does not cover the specifications of cutting wheels. As examples of cutting wheel specifications, see GB/T4127.7, GB/T23537 and ISO13942. This standard does not apply to machines manufactured before the date of its publication.
