Scope
What is BS EN 50655-2- Fingerprinting fo r heat shrinkable components about?   BS EN 50655 is a European Standard that discusses material characterization of electric cable accessories, that can ensure undesired consequences of poor insulation are minimized.    BS EN 50655-2 is the second part of the multi-series that specifies the methods and requirements for fingerprinting of heat shrinkable components intended to be used for electrical insulation and/or electrical insulation and mechanical protection in cable accessories for low and medium voltage, as defined in EN 50393, HD 629.1and HD 629.2 .   Fingerprinting of materials does not have a mandatory link to type testing of accessories
