Scope

This standard specifies the optical radiation safety requirements for consumer laser pointer products, mainly including safety classification, reachable emission, hazard assessment and control measures. This standard applies to the production, testing, sale and use of consumer laser pointer products (hereinafter referred to as laser pointers) whose nominal wavelength is within the range of visible light from 400 nm to 700 nm.
