Scope

This document describes GIS partial discharge detection based on fiber optic sensors, including: terms and definitions, installation of GIS partial discharge fiber optic sensing system, GIS partial discharge test, GIS partial discharge positioning, requirements for GIS partial discharge fiber optic sensing system, Test items and requirements for GIS partial discharge optical fiber sensing system, conditions for performing partial discharge detection, and detection reports. This document applies to GIS with voltage levels of 72.5kV and above.
