This standard establishes environmental, mechanical and electromagnetic performance requirements and test methods for radiation protection instruments. The purpose of this standard is to specify the possible use environment of radiation protection equipment for the design and testing of the equipment. The environment in this standard applies to body-worn (for example: personal radiation detectors, backpack-mounted instruments and dosimeters). Hand-held, portable and mobile, vehicle-mounted or fixed instruments.
