Scope

This document specifies the transmission method, physical characteristics, data format, working mode, domain structure, parameter description, register mapping, communication exception response and data frame timing of the grating sensor communication protocol (NCEC for short) used in CNC systems. This document applies to the two-way serial communication of grating sensors (including grating line displacement sensors and grating angular displacement sensors, hereinafter referred to as sensors) in CNC systems.
