Scope: This document is used by suppliers when declaring the electromagnetic immunity of equipment used in safety-related systems. Designers, system integrators, installers and evaluators of safety-related systems should also use this document to evaluate the declaration made by the supplier. This document provides guidance for product committees. This document applies to electrical and electronic equipment intended to be used in safety-related systems, ie: ●● comply with the requirements of IEC61508 and/or other field-specific functional safety standards, and operate in industrial locations as described in 3.1.15. Note 1: The final safety-related system is designed by a system integrator (or equivalent staff), who is responsible for assessing the suitability of the device for a particular application. See GB/Z17624.2-2013 Appendix D for the process.
