- This standard specifies the basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, transportation, storage, installation, operation and maintenance rules, safety, product impact on the natural environment, quality and service commitments of electromagnetic current transformers. This standard applies to newly manufactured electromagnetic current transformers used for electrical measuring instruments and/or electrical protection and automation devices, with frequencies from 15 Hz to 100 Hz, and maximum equipment voltages from 0.4 kV to 252 kV.
