- This document specifies a checklist of security compliance tests for evaluating secure cryptographic devices (SCDs) in financial services environments. Integrated circuit (IC) payment cards belong to the scope of this document before the card is issued, and will be regarded as a personal device and not within the scope of this document after the card is issued. This document is applicable to the safety compliance testing of SCD equipment used in retail financial services. This document does not apply to problems caused by SCD denial of service.
