Scope

This standard specifies the diagnosis and differential diagnosis, syndrome differentiation, treatment, outcome (prognosis), contraindications and caution for dysthymia. This standard applies to the diagnosis and treatment of dysthymia. This standard does not apply to the diagnosis and treatment of depression, cyclothymia, bipolar disorder and other affective mental disorders, as well as anxiety disorders.
