- This document specifies the basic requirements for the overall design of the active safety system pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant (hereinafter referred to as "nuclear power plant") to ensure its safe and reliable operation. This document is applicable to newly-built PWR nuclear power plants with active safety systems, and can be referred to for implementation in PWR nuclear power plants with active safety systems in service.
