Scope
Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars@ forgings and flash welded rings up to 4.000 inch (101.6 mm)@ inclusive@ in nominal thickness or distance between parallel sides@ and stock of any size for forging or flash welded rings (see 8.6). Applications These products have been used typically for parts requiring a combination of resistance to creep and stress-rupture up to 1300 ??(704 ??@ oxidation resistance up to 1800 ??(982 ??@ and good machinability@ particularly parts which are welded and then precipitation heat treated to develop required properties@ but usage is not limited to such applications.
