Rationale The SAE J2283 Requirements for one piece wheel nuts was developed to define chemical@ metallurgical and mechanical requirements for one piece passenger car and light truck ferrous wheel nuts with conical or spherical nut seats. This five year review adds a nut size that has been introduced into the passenger car and light truck market. Additional editorial revisions have been made to the document to ease in comprehension.
