Scope
This document specifies the specifications and test methods for unused mineral insulating oils for oil-filled cables in the delivery condition. These cables include hollow core cables, ducted cables and any other form of cable with oil flow provision. This document applies to mineral insulating oils obtained by distillation and refining of petroleum, with or without additives. This document does not apply to mineral insulating oils used in transformers, switches, capacitors and similar equipment, nor does it apply to chemically synthesized hydrocarbon insulating oils.
