The ESG analyst competency evaluation criteria proposed in this article are mainly based on the following three core aspects: Environmental, social and governance (ESG) knowledge: including understanding of ESG concepts, the ability to evaluate and analyze ESG indicators, and ESG data sources and tool familiarity. Analytical and communication skills: including the ability to process and analyze data, the ability to provide advice on investment decisions and socially responsible investments, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. Professionalism and ethical responsibility: including compliance with professional ethics and confidentiality systems, the ability to identify and manage conflicts of interest, and a normative understanding of ESG information disclosure and reporting.
