This document provides guidelines for the application of stability characterization of liquid dispersion systems (such as suspensions, emulsions, foams and their mixtures), including: stability principles, characterization of dispersion system state changes, and prediction of dispersion system shelf life, etc. content. This document is applicable to the selection of methods for sorting, identifying and quantifying the instability of liquid dispersion systems. This document can be applied to new product design, optimization of existing products, quality control during product production and use. Dispersion stability is defined in this document as the change in one or more physical properties over time. Stability can be observed and measured in real time, and can also be predicted through changes in stability-related physical quantities. For particularly stable dispersions, the measurement time can be shortened by reasonably accelerating physical changes or accelerating aging. To estimate the shelf life of a product, it is necessary not only to observe the change rate of the physical properties of the product, but also to consider the user's requirements for the product.
