Scope: This document stipulates the terms and definitions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and instructions, packaging, transportation, storage and quality commitment of the miniature desktop B-type steam sterilizer (hereinafter referred to as the sterilizer). This document applies to miniature desktop type B steam sterilizers that generate steam by electric heating, have a sterilization chamber volume not exceeding 12 L, and cannot be loaded with a sterilization unit (180 mm × 180 mm × 360 mm) for automatic control. This document does not apply to: 　——sterilization of closed liquids; 　——vertical steam sterilizers, cassette steam sterilizers, portable steam sterilizers and double-door steam sterilizers; 　——biosafety Steam sterilizers used in laboratories with Level 3 or Level 4 protection or other equivalent biosafety protection places. This document does not specify safety requirements involving the risk range of use, nor does it specify requirements for confirmation and routine control of moist heat sterilization.
