The arc cam mechanism refers to that the base body of the active cam is an arc rotary body, and the cam profile is made into a ridge shape. The intermittent movement and positioning of the indexing plate are realized through the change of the helix angle of the working surface. The driven turntable is equipped with an axis along the indexing plate. The rollers are evenly distributed around the disc circumference. During the formulation of this standard, the development experience of the national major science and technology project "Disc Tool Magazine with Automatic Tool Changer" was summarized, and it mainly solved the detection methods of the indexing accuracy, dwell accuracy, repeatability accuracy and clearance of the arc cam mechanism. The arcuate cam mechanism, which is accurately tested according to the method specified in this standard, has been used in the product of the national major science and technology project "Disc Tool Magazine with Automatic Tool Changer" and has been verified to have technical maturity.
