1.0.1 This standard is formulated in order to implement the national technical and economic policies in the foundation engineering of overhead transmission line poles and towers in loess areas, achieve safety and application, advanced technology, economic rationality, and protect the environment. 1.0.2 This standard specifies the technical requirements and methods for the design of loess foundation pole foundations for overhead transmission lines. 1.0.3 This standard is applicable to the foundation design of loess foundation poles and towers for overhead transmission lines. 1.0.4 The tower foundation design adopts new theories, new materials, and new structural forms. When there is a lack of practical experience, it should be verified by experiments. 1.0.5 In addition to complying with the relevant provisions of this standard, pole and tower foundation projects in loess areas should also comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standards.
