Scope

This part of GB/T 40681 provides statistical methods for calculating the performance and capability of process or product characteristics when it is necessary to consider a family of interrelated univariate variables. This section applies to process capability and performance estimation of multivariate normal processes in commonly used production processes. Note: For the sake of simplicity, the methods provided in this section mostly take the bivariate normal process as an example for description. For the different methods provided, this section does not evaluate the possible application of each method in different situations. Users can choose a more appropriate method according to the actual situation.
