Form This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of bars up through 4.000 inches (101.60 mm) inclusive@ in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides@ forgings of thickness up through 4.000 inches (101.60 mm)@ inclusive@ and stock for forging of any size. Application These products have been used typically for parts requiring good weldability and high strength-to weight ratio operating from -250 to -423 ??(-155 to -255 ??@ but usage is not limited to such applications. Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stresscorrosion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
