- This standard specifies the method for detecting fastening thread parameters with thread indicating gauges. Fastening thread parameters include: active pitch diameter, basic tooth profile diameter, design tooth profile bottom diameter, pitch diameter, single pitch diameter, radial pitch diameter difference, axial pitch diameter difference, pitch (lead) flank angle, Tooth type comprehensive deviation, top diameter relative to middle diameter beating. This standard applies to the detection of fastening thread parameters (minimum nominal diameters of internal and external threads are 4.8 mm and 1 mm, respectively).
