- The manhole covers and grates in this standard are classified as follows according to test load, applicable site, shape and purpose. Manhole covers and grates are divided into the following grades according to the test load: A15, B125, C250, D400, E600 and F900. According to the use site, manhole covers and grates are divided into the following 1 to 6 groups. According to the shape, manhole covers and grates are divided into: round shapes, squares, rectangles and triangles. Manhole covers are divided according to their uses: inspection manhole covers, valve manhole covers, water meter manhole covers, power manhole covers and fire manhole covers. The purpose of the grate is only for drainage.
