- This document specifies the overall requirements, protection function requirements, protection setting calculation requirements, and secondary circuit technical requirements for series transformer-related relay protection. This document is applicable to the series transformers of major flexible AC transmission equipment projects such as unified power flow controllers, static synchronous series compensators, and controllable phase shifters connected to voltage levels of 110kV and above. Other voltage levels, other types of flexible AC transmission equipment containing series transformers, and other scenarios where series transformers are used in conventional power grids can be implemented as a reference.
