This document specifies the terms and definitions, product composition, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments of thermal shock protective coating systems for launch vehicles. This document is applicable to ablative heat-resistant coating systems with a heat flux density of 500 kW/m2, which is a combination of heat-insulating coatings, ablative coatings, and self-radiating coatings, used for heat protection of launch vehicle body structures.
