Scope: This document specifies the requirements for the use and maintenance of marine cranes such as cylinder luffing electro-hydraulic cranes, wire rope luffing electro-hydraulic cranes, and wire rope luffing electric cranes. This document applies to the following types of marine cranes operating in port or sheltered waters conditions: --- deck cranes installed on board ships for loading and unloading equipment, cargo or containers in ports or sheltered waters conditions; --- mounted on barges or buoys Floating cranes used for loading and unloading loads in ports or sheltered waters; --- grab cranes installed on ships, barges or buoys for operations in ports or sheltered waters; --- installed on ships for ports Or engine room cranes, material cranes, etc. for lifting equipment and materials under sheltered water conditions. For marine cranes not covered above or under other environmental conditions, this document may also be referred to.
