BS ISO/IEC 90003:2018 provides organizations with guidance on how to apply ISO 9001:2015 to the acquisition, supply, development, operation and maintenance of computer software. It identifies the issues that should be tackled and is independent of the technology, life cycle models, development processes, sequence of activities and organizational structure used by an organization. It provides guidance that will help organizations understand how the provisions of ISO 9001:2015 apply in the context of software, but it is not a management system standard.
