Scope: This document stipulates the basic safety technical content such as the placing on the market and free circulation of gas burning appliances (hereinafter referred to as "burning appliances") and their accessories. This document applies to household and commercial burning appliances and accessories that use town gas as fuel. This document does not apply to burning appliances used on vehicles, ships and other means of transportation, as well as burning appliances designed for specific uses or purposes such as industrial production processes or laboratory research.
