ADOPTED_FROM:EN 415-1:2014 This European Standard defines in detail the areas of packaging machinery. The defined machines fall into the following general groups:
——fillers (filling machines);
——closers;
——labelers, decorators and coders;
——washers, sterilizers (to stop microorganisms), coolers and dryers;
——fillers/sealers;
——testers (verifiers);
——handling machines for containers and packaging components;
——shapers/fillers/sealers;
——cartoners;
——shrink-wrapping machines;
——group or secondary packaging machines;
——palletizers, depalletizers and auxiliary equipment;
——pallet wrapping machines;
——strapping machines. This part of EN 415 indicates the appropriate machine-specific part of EN 415, or another appropriate standard, in which safety requirements to address the risks associated with these machines can be found.
