- Scope
- This standard specifies two testing methods for fiber linear density in yarn, including the mid-section weighing method (Method A) and the single fiber vibrator method (Method B). This standard is applicable to the determination of fiber linear density in pure yarns. Method A is applicable to all pure yarns. Method B is applicable to pure chemical fiber yarns. For blended yarns, please refer to Method A.
