Scope

This document specifies the classification and grades of lanthanum and cerium metals, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and accompanying documents. This document applies to lanthanum and cerium metals produced by molten salt electrolysis or fusion blending methods and used for making hydrogen storage alloys, steel and non-ferrous metal alloys.
