- This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, classification, collection, storage, transfer and treatment process of hazardous waste in laboratories. This document applies to the environmental management of hazardous waste generated in laboratories during activities such as production, research, development, teaching, inspection and testing. The environmental management of infectious, pathological, damaging and radioactive waste does not apply to this document. This document is the general technical requirements for hazardous waste pollution control in laboratories. If national or local solid waste environmental protection standards have other provisions for hazardous wastes in specific laboratories, the relevant provisions shall apply.
