Scope: This standard specifies the composition, technical requirements, performance indicators and detection methods of portable Fourier infrared monitors for volatile organic compounds. This standard applies to the design, production and testing of portable Fourier infrared monitors (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") for volatile organic compounds in ambient air and waste gas from stationary pollution sources. For instruments used in different occasions, the detection range of the corresponding instruments is specified. Instruments used for emergency monitoring of ambient air pollution accidents are called Type I instruments in this standard, and instruments used for exhaust gas monitoring from fixed pollution sources are called Type II instruments in this standard. 2
