Scope

General The purpose of this Recommendation is to define selection procedures for VHF/UHF maritime mobile services. The number plan used in these selection procedures is not based upon the use of a T digit as defined in Recommendation E.215. The use of a T digit in VHF/UHF maritime mobile services is for further study. VHF/UHF maritime mobile services are more localized than maritime mobile-satellite services. National procedures will be adopted to provide access to the VHF/UHF maritime mobile services.
