- This document specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and descriptions, principles, test equipment, specimens, test procedures, result evaluation, data rounding of test results and test reports for the determination of tensile strain hardening properties of metallic materials under room temperature quasi-static conditions. . This document is applicable to the part of the test where the stress-strain curve rises monotonically and continuously within the tensile plastic deformation range. It measures the tensile strain hardening index (abbreviation: n value) and the instantaneous strain hardening index during uniform deformation (abbreviation: instantaneous n value). ), and three types of indicators: instantaneous tensile strain hardening rate (abbreviation: instantaneous hardening rate m). Upon negotiation between relevant parties, other temperature tests may also be performed with reference to this document.
