- This standard applies to traction and forced drive elevators, hydraulic drive elevators, escalators and moving walkways. And it applies to one of the following situations: a) It has been put into use for fifteen years or it has been continued to be used for five years after safety assessment; b) An accident above the general level occurs; c) The user, property owner, lessee, etc. believe that there is a Safety assessment is necessary; d) Commissioned by the government or regulatory authorities; e) Other commissions that affect the safety performance of the elevator and require safety assessment.
