Scope

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The purpose of an erosion and sediment control program is to allow the development of a highway facility while also accomplishing the three general erosion and sediment control objectives of (1) limiting off-site effects to acceptable levels@ (2) facilitating project construction and minimizing overall costs@ and (3) complying with Federal@ State@ and local regulations.
