Scope

This standard specifies the diagnostic criteria and treatment principles for occupational decompression sickness. This standard applies to the diagnosis and treatment of decompression sickness of personnel operating in high-pressure environments, and also applies to the diagnosis and treatment of decompression sickness of aviation and recreational divers.
