This document specifies the technical requirements for devices, methods, testing and other aspects of DC side series arc fault protection of distributed photovoltaic power generation systems. This document applies to the series arc fault protection device (hereinafter referred to as the protection device) on the DC side of the distributed photovoltaic power generation system integrated with the building. Other PV input systems follow the same instructions. This document applies to the higher risk of series arcing. Due to the protection of ground faults in photovoltaic power generation systems, ground faults occur first, so the risk of parallel arcing is small.
