This document specifies the terms and definitions, safety technical requirements, test methods, sampling, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of primary batteries, rechargeable batteries and battery packs for smart door locks. This document applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs, alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide primary batteries and zinc-nickel batteries used in smart door locks for civil and commercial buildings. This document does not apply to batteries for live control door locks, and batteries for live control door locks are exempt.
