Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, codes and model preparation, usage characteristics, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of cables for solar photovoltaic power generation. This standard is applicable to single-core flexible cables (wires) used on the DC side of PV systems under Class II safety level with a maximum allowable rated voltage of 1.8kV (core to core, non-grounded system) DC voltage. It can also be applied to PV Single-core or multi-core flexible cables (wires) used in the system with power frequency rated voltage 0.6/1kV AC voltage system.
