This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of photoelectric separation lighting equipment (lighting equipment for short) based on optical fiber light guides. This standard applies to lighting equipment that uses light-emitting diode (LED) chips or semiconductor laser diodes (LD) as the light source and optical fibers with 62.5 μm, 105 μm, 113 μm or other core diameters as the transmission medium. Lighting equipment using other technologies can be implemented as a reference.
