- This standard specifies the test conditions, test methods and other considerations for performance evaluation of level meters for industrial process measurement. This standard applies to ultrasonic level meters that use the principle of ultrasonic waves to measure the level of industrial processes, and antenna-type microwave (radar) level meters that use the principle of microwave ranging to measure the level of industrial processes, hereinafter referred to as "level meters".
