- This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of industrial mixtures of polychlorinated biphenyls in ambient air. This standard is applicable to the determination of seven industrial polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB1221, PCB1232, PCB1242, PCB1248, PCB1254, PCB1016 and PCB1260) in the gas phase and particulate matter of ambient air. See Appendix B for details. When the sampling volume is 350m3 (standard state) and the concentration volume is 1.0ml, the detection limit of 7 kinds of PCBs determined by this method is 0.02ng/m3~0.09ng/m3, and the lower limit of determination is 0.08ng/m3 ~0.36ng/m3.
